Dear Peter and the endote list members,
Sorry to bother you again, but I wonder if I might pick your brain a bit
more about this problem.
I'm not quite sure I've followed Peter's advice correctly... You see, I was
not tracking changes - nor was I viewing any markup -- so there is nothing
to turn off. I was simply writing an original document and for some reason
my custom style stopped working.
Everytime I try to format my document with my custom style, I get a service
error generic message.
None of the trouble shooting tips on endnote.com have fixed the problem.
Thank you for any help you may be able to offer,
Michelle

Michelle,
I have a very similar problem with EN8 for PC and was able to solve it
by turning off the "track changes" feature in Word, as well as the "view
markup" feature. Hope this helps.

Dear Michelle,
The very first thing I would do, if you haven't already, is contact Tech
Support. Maybe they have a clue.
Second, I would try any other style. Does that work? I didn't keep the
original message, but I think you did say Author-style worked in the
original message? If so, I would then modify one of the other endnote
supplied styles (check it first, to make sure it works). Pick one that
is similar to your custom (I know, you already did it once, but perhaps
the style got corrupted somehow) and go. I also seem to remember you are
on a time line.
