Endnote 8: URL problems

I have created a custom style which requires URL addresses to be enclosed by
< and > (ie, "<http://www.yahoo.com>).
In Endnotes 8, a space is automatically inserted prior to the closing >.
Thus, my URL formatting appears as follows: <http://www.yahoo.com >.
Does anyone know how to remove this space?
