URL OpenLink (non) problem?

Many thanks to Elizabeth and others for response to my concern the 8.0.2 may
have URL link problem. I guess I might have been reading too much into other
messages about Link to PDF and assumed they were talking about my issue. I
have reinstalled but still get same problem -- which again I did not have
with 8.0.1 and earlier versions. I will next try it on laptop once I get to
accessible files on my portable hard drive. Will report back for solution if
problem persists to see what settings, etc. I am messing up. So far,
however, I seem to be doing what everyone else is doing, but 8.0.2 is just
not working for me on that point.....
