Endnote Service Error: Generic

I'm running Tiger on a Mac Powerbook with Word 2004 and Endnote 9.0.
Sometimes when I try to open an individual item on my bib in Endnote, I get
the message Service Error: Generic. If I click on the entry again, it may
open.
Any thoughts on what is causing this and what the cure is?

This problem has been reported
and solution is:
http://www.endnote.com/support/faqs/Install/faq1.asp
I had this in Windows XP and this worked.
