To those who use Word 2004 for Mac (11.1) on Mac OS 10.3.6 and EndNote7:
How do you get the EN functionality to work in Word? I have the EN menu in
Word, but none of the commands do anything when clicked. Also, Spell Check
and CWYW are grey in the EN Tools menu. I've already copied the CWYW files
manually to the Microsoft Office 2004:Office:Startup:Word folder. What have
I done wrong or what more should I do?
Bye!
Marcus

You don't. Word 2004 doesn't work with EndNote 7. You buy EndNote 8.
Or you reopen your doc in an older Word version to format it, or save as RTF
and tell EndNote to scan it. But CWYW will not work.

According to the information on the EndNote website at:
http://www.endnote.com/support/en_wpchart_mac.asp
EndNote 7 is not compatible with Word 2004 for the Mac.

You bought Word 2004 :-((
>or what more should I do?
Buy EndNote 8, EN7 is incompatible with Word 2004, you have to use
the "scan RTF" command

you don't
en7 not compatible with word2004 see their info
if anyone told you different demand your money back
you have to wait for en8 for MAC - and the associated bugs that are
likely, given posts on this list
i regretfully reverted to wordX, whihc is useles at opening supposedly
compatible graphics from wordPC
endnote providers think this is absolutely fine treatment of their MAC
customers

Dear Marcus
EndNote 7 is not supposed to work with Word 2004. It does work with Word 10.x.
You should upgrade to Endnote 8.
