Dear listmembers;
Recently, when I have tried to export citations from Science Direct to
EndNote (using the RIS format), I get a spurious "SU -" text string in
various fields, usually the issue field. I think the field depends on
the output style selected. I did not have this problem as recently as 3
weeks ago. I contacted Science Direct and they suggested that it is an
EndNote compatibilty problem with the browser. However, I have neither
changed EN version (7.0.0) nor browser (both Netscape 7.1 and IE 6.0).
I reinstalled End Note and have the same problem. Two colleagues have
reproduced the problem using EN 5.0.2 and EN 4, and both Netscape and
IE.
Have any of the rest of you encountered this problem, and if so, is
there any solution?

You are quite right. This problem only appeared recently. I think that your
email to Science Direct may have produced results, because the problem seems
to have disappeared now. Let's hope it stays that way.

Hello Mike Schock,
I had no problem with EN5 and Netscape 4.75 and also IE 5.5 in
ScienceDirect. I searched laminitis in 1998 to present and exported
citations and abstracts in RIS format.
I haven't had time to install EN7 yet...but at least with older browsers
ScienceDirect export works as always
(Although I still regret SD doesn't export the keywords along with the
citation and abstract!)
Did you upgrade your browsers 3 weeks ago? Perhaps you can install an
earlier browser and see if that works?
