I would like to use Endnote to prepare my course outlines. I would like to be able to use an output style which would allow me to insert a citation with its complete bibliographic information (in the place of insertion, not only in the bibliography). APA or Chicago format would be fine. Is there such an output style already available? If not, any suggestions on how to make one? Thank you.

I'm not sure if there's an output style pre-configured, but it's easy to
make one.
If you copy the relevant style (APA or Chicago), and edit it, you can copy
and past the templates from the Bibliography section to the Citations
section... but you need to go into each template, copy the contents, and go
to the other section, go into the template and paste. The one hitch is that
link adjacent marks get converted to spaces, so you have to change them back
with the insert field button.
Presumably, if you're inserting the bibliographic information as citations,
you will want to remove the Bibliography templates so that you don't get a
bibliography at the end of your document as well. To do this, simply delete
all the information from the templates, and En will remove the blank ones
when you close the style.
(You can, of course, have both.)
Are you actually after a dynamic citation (which will change if you update
information in Endnote) or just a convenient way of inserting existing
information without having to re-type it. If the former, yes, you need a
style; if the latter, you might consider using the Copy Formatted command
(ctrl+K) and then pasting the text into your document directly. This would
not need a new style, just select APA or Chicago.
