Connection files for France
Author: Francisco Vaz Da Silva    Posted: Fri, 9 Aug 2002 12:05:10 +0100
Dear all,

I wonder whether anyone has, or knows about, Endnote connection files for
French major academic libraries (including, oh wonder! if possible, the
Bibliothèque Nationale)?

Many thanks in advance,
Francisco

French libraries seem to be reluctant to embrace the Z39.50 protocol. There
is a list of "Profils Z39.50" on the web at:
http://www.enssib.fr/bibliotheque/autres/bibfranc/z3950.html

It lists very few institutions. Of course, it may not be complete or
up-to-date.

As far as I know, there is no Z39.50 access to the catalogue of the
Bibliothèque Nationale de France. However you can search the web version of
their catalogue and download records in a format which can be imported
reasonably well into EndNote. Full details (and filter) are available from
our website at:
http://www.library.uq.edu.au/faqs/endnote/bib_nat.html
