Problems with diacritic marks
Author: John P Turner    Posted: Fri, 2 Aug 2002 20:34:22 -0000
First here are the specs - Powermac G4, Microsoft Office 2001, Endnote
5

Now the problem - I recently upgraded from Endnote 4. I use lots of
transliteration in my work (of Arabic and Persian) using Knut Vikors
Jaghbub diacritic font (based on Times New Roman). The font has
always served me well with no problems. In Endnote 4 the display view
(from which you can select from multiple records) did not show the
diacritics correctly but the records themselves were fine. When I
switched to Endnote 5 the display now looks great but the fonts in each
record have been changed. Which means that when I go to format my
document, my endnotes look atrocious. The bibliography comes out fine
because Endnote 5 lets you choose the output font. Small consolation.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this, other than having
to go through each field resetting the font to what it was before?
Thanks in advance,
John
