Excuse Newbie question if there's a FAQ I missed...
Is there any way to get EndNote to produce or use macros?
We want to use one of the custom fields to enter "kidney"
or "liver" without typing the word each time.
Thank you in advance,

You can define a term list associated with a custom field and enter your
commonly used words; then when the cursor is in that field just press
ctrl-1 to pop up the list. For moer info you can access EndNote help and
search for term list (in the index).

You may use the references->change field command to do just that

Dear Bob,
I have managed the problem on the Mac by using "TypeIt4Me", a small but
excellent program typing everything in whatever program you like. It works like
the Autotext tool in Word 98. It comes as a control panel and you can add and
update abbriviations during editing a dataset or a text. You can edit every
endnote field, even in Endnote 4 with Mac OS 9.04. One set of my abbriviation
lists is about 500 terms long nows... Maybe there is a PC-program doing the
same. If you are working on a mac I can send you the program.
