Macs and Importing
Author: John Fullerton    Posted: Wed, 9 Apr 2008 12:47:52 -0400
Hi

A customer had EndNote X installed on a Mac and it quit importing
records from PubMed. We walked through all the steps and the records
were not importing. Then he installed EndNote X1 and found the same
thing. We also tried direct export from EBSCO and that, too, did not
work. He *could* search PubMed from EndNote using the connection file,
though.

He said that he had EndNote installed on another computer (I think it is
a Mac also) and that import was not working on that computer either.

He was using Firefox and had OS X 10.4.11, I think.

Does anyone have recommendations?

Have a nice day

I had problems importing on my Mac. I upgraded to OS X 10.5 which
seemed to help. But I have noticed that sometimes you will have to
switch spaces to get it to work.

Have you (and others) tried emptying the cache in your internet browser.
People often forget to do this and direct export from databases doesn't
work any more,
Janice
