Hello,
Reviewers are needed for automated import of text references into
reference management programs such as EndNote.
I'm new to the list so forgive me if something like this was posted or
discussed before.
I'm a plant biologist and my career started before the EndNote or other
reference managers were available so I as well as my colleagues have
many reference lists in a simply text and/or Word format. It is a lot
of work to copy and paste each field of the references into the EndNote
library.
Therefore, we have written macros that can greatly assist in the
conversion of untagged bibliographic lists that are in text or Microsoft
Word compatible formats into a tagged format that EndNote can import
after some manual modification of the list if needed. This protocol and
the macros will enable researchers to easily and directly add formerly
untagged references to one's EndNote library as well some other
reference managers, which can import an EndNote import file, for later
use.
Though we could simply make an announcement and make these macros
available through the lists like this, but publishing an article is one
of the important tasks for us and it will also help more people to find
them. Therefore, we have written a brief informational article and are
planning on submitting the draft to BioTechniques since our field is in
plant biology/molecular biology.
As a part of submission process, we also need to submit the names,
affiliations and email addresses of three or more potential reviewers.
Would anyone be kind enough to be one of the potential reviewers? If
so, could you email me these required information privately? My email
address is: "hfuku1"
Thank you.
Hiro
