Although I use Newsgroups and the online bulletin board systems (such as
phpbb and Yabb) I would prefer to keep Endnote on a listserv.
I prefer the online bulletin board type system when I am more casually
following a group and the information isn't time sensitive.
Sometimes I need an answer quickly, and I find that if I make a post to a
listserv I have a greater possibility of someone responding in a short
period of time compared to a bulletin board system. Plus I tend to skip
looking at a bulletin board type system frequently, whereas I am prompted to
look at the listserv comments just because it pops up in my email box. I
would definitely go with a bulletin board system if we didn't have a
suitable archive - but we do - so my vote goes with staying with a listserv.
While I use better formatted listservs than the Endnote version, it is still
fairly easy to use.
I would put in a vote to at least have a listserv system where each topic is
numbered. Then it is just easier to scroll down to the items of interest.
But that is a minor issue.

I vote to leave endnote-interest as a listserv. This is one of the
few listservs I still subscribe to because it is so well run, always
sticks to the subject, and is simple to scan in digest form. I don't
have the time to visit news groups, but it is simple to keep up with
issues and delete what is not needed with the listserv.

You can read selected listservs using a service from http://www.gmane.org/,
after authorizing with them.
Then, you can just point your newsreader to
news://news.gmane.org/gmane.comp.search.endnote
I do!
