Hi all,
A colleague here has been working on a document in Word 2001 with
Endnote 4. This morning we he came to work on it he found that the
old references he had inserted were no longer recognised by Endnote,
ie he couldn't unformat the bibliography or citations, adding a new
references resulted in a new bibliography being created with just the
new references etc. The fields are still active but they won't talk
to Endnote.
We have tried saving the rtf and reopening and tried opening it on
other computers with the same word/endnote versions and other
computers with newer word/endnote versions.
Any other suggestions?

Adrian,
You have selected all and tried unformating and the rtf route, which
would have been my suggestions. You have the original library I assume?
Make sure there aren't any tracked changes (accept them all if there
are) in the document too. Then try again the select all, unformat route.
I suggest that you contact tech support directly for this. They may
request the files and try to rescue the document for you colleague.
