10.3.3 and endnote 7
Author: Larry    Posted: Fri, 30 Apr 2004 12:45:50 +0200
Dear listers,

maybe this was touched on before, but I can't find it in the archive.

I recently updated from 10.3.2 to 10.3.3 (I have Endnote 7.0.0 Bld
155) and I have only found one glitch. When I use Connect to go to
Pubmed and search, I get the correct citations in the search dialog
window. But if I try to open any citation before transfering to a
library, the computer hangs, and I can not even force quit out of
Endnote (apple-alt-control-esc). I have to restart.

If instead I transfer citations to a library and try to open them
there, the same thing happens.

If I transfer citations to another library, and quit Endnote and
restart Endnote, then I can open the citations no problem.

(I have to admit that when the computer hangs I have never waited
more than 5 minutes for a response; in the past with 10.3.2 and with
10.3.3, I have had the experience to get distracted during a conflict
with the beach ball of death, return to my desk after 15 minutes to
find that the system had returned to sanity).

Any better solution to closing and restarting Endnote every time?

Larry

I am not having this problem with 10.3.3 although occassionaly for
strange reasons I get a funny looking search box and have to quite
endnote and try again. =20
But that has not happended recently and only happened on my G5 not my
G3...
Strange =20
