Is ProCite for Mac dead?
Author: Harry Hoffner    Posted: Sat, 26 Apr 2003 14:48:56 -0500
Although I am a loyal EndNote user, I also licensed a version of ProCite Mac
version 4 three years ago. I delayed upgading it waiting for a Mac OS X
native version. although I like EndNote very much, there is at least one
feature of ProCite that I need from time to time and EndNote appears to lack
it. It is the "Term" Tab window in which a list of authors, keywords, etc
can be displayed, with the number of records containing that item displayed
to the right, and when you select any entry, it shows you all
bibliographical entries in the database having that entry. I went to ISI
Researchsoft's site for ProCite today and found a ProCite 5 for Mac for
trial download, but the page was last altered in May 2001, which makes me
wonder if ISI Researchsoft is sunsetting ProCite in favor of keeping only
EndNote. Do you know if that is the case? Will ProCite ever be upgraded for
Mac OS X? Will EndNote ever incorporate the window feature I need? I am not
knocking either EndNote or Procite, only desirous of having this feature for
use in Mac OS X.

Many thanks.
